There’s no better way to see the desert surrounding Yuma, Arizona than to climb the foothills to the east of the city. The steep four mile trail climbs 1,200 feet to reveal a breathtaking vista of the entire area.

I must admit, there were a few times when I though I wasn’t going to make it in time to see the sunset, but thanks to the encouragement of my trail companions, James, Dylan, and Brice, we made it up in time watch the sun go down.
