The Photoblog of Jay Williams

This is my first successful experiment with extra large vertical panoramas. The main inspiration behind this concept belongs to «XLV». Not that I haven’t done vertical panoramas before, because I have, but I’ve never attempted to use them in a photoblog setting before.

To compose this shot, I merged two photos shot at 17mm (27mm equivalent). This really widened the field of view and created a skyscraper effect with the tree. And since it is winter here, the trees are quite barren, which makes them perfect for B&W silhouettes.

Let me know what you think about this format, because if you like it, I might do some more in the future.
