Dirt Pile Portraits (Revisited)

Sometimes I find it enjoyable to go back and reprocess an old photo that I’ve taken. It helps me compare my processing techniques, as well as my opinion of what looks "good".

The thing that strikes me the most between the two versions is the sharpness. In the past, I would commonly add a "soft focus" effect to my photos. And as you can tell in the current version, my current techniques bring out all the crispness. I wouldn’t say one way is necessarily better than the other. It’s just A Different View.
