Tower Power

This photo, believe it or not, was originally taken by my brother Grant. I actually preferred it to my own photo of the tower, due to the simple lines and lack of distracting background elements.

I spent quite some time on this photo in post processing in order to get the contrast just the way I envisioned it. I also ran it through my latest application, LensFix CI, which removed the oh-so-common at 17mm focal length barrel distortion. I also used Neat Image to clean up some of the noise and give it more of a "smooth" appearance.

And to make the whole process much more enjoyable, while I worked on it I had a nice relaxing cup of green tea, and listened to some peaceful music on one of my Pandora radio stations.

Ah, nothing beats a night spent working on photos.
